With most of this summer's track and field season lost to the pandemic, U15 Lilah Unwin has managed to get her entries in quick with a few meetings beginning to pop up. With numbers restricted, they fill up fast!

Starting with her first competitive 300m race at the Blackheath and Bromley Open, including the Dina Asher-Smith150m Invitational on Saturday 22 August, Lilah won her race in 44.87. A time that sees her placed 4th fastest U15 girl in the club's 300m records.

Moving up to her preferred distance of 800m a few days later, Lilah recorded a new PB, despite the torrential rain, competing at the first Harrow AC 800m and 1500m race night.

Racing in much better conditions last Sunday in Loughborough, Lilah had a big PB in the 800m with a fast time of 2.25.79.

U17 Oscar Curry entered the Herne Hill Harriers 800m / 3000m evening last week and won his 800m race with a big PB, taking his time down to 2.06.81. Oscar will take on his first 3000m track race at Harrow AC this coming Thursday evening.

In the U13 800m at last Saturday's South London Athletics Network Open held in Tooting, Max Orchard ran a mature race to finish 1st in a very impressive time of 2.22.50  -  a massive PB. Max stayed on at the meeting to notch a quick time of 29.70 in his first competitive 200m track outing.

Well done to all three on recording big PBs despite having had to wait until the end of summer for their  first competitions.
