The Race
For details of the route see the Brockham Blast Course page
The 5k course has been accurately measured by the Association of Course Measurers (certificate number 2026-285). It will be signed with km markers.
It consists of 2 virtually identical laps on open roads in Brockham Village – Wheelers Lane, Middle Street and Wellhouse Lane.
A Pace cyclist will lead the runners around the course. A Sweep Cyclist will follow the race.
Marshals will be deployed at strategic points round the Course, especially at the Start and Finish, to ensure the correct route is followed. You must obey their instructions at all times.
In addition, bright yellow “caution” and informative signs will be positioned at regular intervals to warn road users a race is in progress.
The Start is on the grassed area as indicated by the Start Sign. Caution should be exercised when exiting the grassed area over a slight kerb onto Dodds Park / Wheelers Lane.
When reaching Warrenne Road on completing…
- Lap 1 - runners continue along Wheelers Lane
- Lap 2 – runners re-enter the grassed area for the final few metres to the Finish
Keep well to the left at all times unless instructed otherwise by marshals.
Be extremely careful on blind bends.
Your time will be recorded as you cross the finishing timing mat.
Please continue running over the mat and exit from the finishing funnel as quickly as possible.
Your timing chip will then be removed to ensure your time is recorded. Don’t take it away.

All finishers will receive a specially commissioned designer wooden medal!
