Brockham Blast Course

The course is an accurately measured flat, two‑lap route with just 9ft of elevation per lap - ideal for fast times and a great experience for runners of all abilities. The route follows quiet, scenic country lanes before looping back to finish. Almost entirely on smooth tarmac, with a water station at the start/finish area. A 60‑minute cut‑off ensures everyone can take part comfortably.

Please be alert at all times as the event is run on roads which are not closed to traffic.

The race consists of 2 anti-clockwise laps. A cyclist will lead the race and one will follow it.

The event arena is the grassed area bordered by:

  • Wheelers Lane
  • Dodds Park
  • Juniper Walk
  • Warrenne Road

START: approx https://what3words.com/butter.reduce.cases

Exercise care when exiting the grassed area after approx 39 metres as there is a low kerb. Cross diagonally over the top part of Dodds Park then turn left into Wheelers Lane. Be mindful of the cars parked on the left hand side.

At the junction, turn left into Middle Street, which has the most traffic use on the course.

In Middle Street there’s a traffic calming measure shown below which extends into the road. Exercise extreme caution when negotiating this section. There’s sufficient space to pass it on the left with care, if desired.

Further on, turn left into Wellhouse Lane, which has a more rural character. After a short distance, turn left at the triangular junction into Wheelers Lane.

As you approach the half way point, you do not reenter the event arena but continue along Wheelers Lane. A large information sign will give you advance notice.

Repeat the lap up to this point and so at the end of your second lap position yourself to reenter the event arena. You turn left into Warrenne Road then immediately right, crossing a low kerb onto the path/grass for the final 37.5 metre run to the finish (approx https://what3words.com/badge.scout.heap)
