Summer Evening 10k

7.30pm Wed 3rd July 2024

See the 2024 results here and photos are here (free to download).

Note to 2024 race

RPAC cancelled the 2023 race on safety grounds, due to carriageway restrictions on part of the course. Although we weren’t obliged to refund entry fees under the race’s T&C’s, we chose to do so. Since the race materials had already been purchased, the club incurred a sizeable loss.

To be environmentally responsible and avoid unnecessary waste, we’ll be utilising last year’s 2023-dated race numbers and (probably) some 2023-dated medal ribbons.

But we’ll customise the commemorative wooden medal given to all finishers (shown below) by stamping the reverse ‘2024 Summer Evening 10k’. All the engraving plates on the special awards will be dated 2024.

There are no supplementary charges. The online service fees will now be paid by RPAC.

The event

The Summer Evening 10k is a chip-timed race held on an undulating, multi-terrain course, starting and finishing in Reigate’s picturesque Priory Park, suitable for both club and recreational runners alike (minimum age 15).

It’s licensed by England Athletics (licence number 2024-48164) and is held under UK Athletics Rules for Competition.
