Wednesday 6th July Volunteers Still Needed for Reigate Priory AC's Summer Evening 10K
Thank you to everyone who has responded so far to the call for volunteers for this year's Summer 10k. We’re well on our way to filling the slots but we still need a lot more to be able to host a safe event for all.
If you volunteered in the past, you appreciate how valuable this event is to our club. We ask if you would be able to carry out the same role again this year or if you prefer, try a different role. Any request for a specific role may be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
As well as marshals on course, we need volunteers in all of the following roles (note that this list is not exhaustive):
- First Aiders
- Lead bikes
- Sweep car (& driver)
- Water station assistance
- Set up and break-down of the course.
There are also a handful of roles that may be suitable for children/juniors.
We do need a number of people to assist in the set up of the course on Tuesday 5th July from 6pm and on 6th July from 2pm (Battlebridge) or 3pm (Priory Park) so if you can assist with either of those, please respond as such via the link below.
If you wish to run in the race and be cheered on by your fellow club members, friends and/or family en-route, we ask that you to volunteer in some way before or after the race. Alternatively, you can provide a volunteer (or two!) to assist while you're donning your red vest around the streets of Reigate.
If you are available to help in any capacity please register via this link. There are a number of roles listed and an area where you can state your preference, should you have one.
Thank you in advance for all your help which makes this event a great success.

Jubilee Celebration from Reigate Hill Friday 3rd June
On Friday a group of RPAC runners met at the top of Reigate Hill to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with a run to Walton Heath and back. The idea was to wear something red, white and blue although clearly some people didn't get the memo . We were blessed with great weather and led by the indomitable Mr Edmonds. Thank you Ian!

Dorking Tens Sunday 12th June
The Dorking 10 mile race takes place on Sunday 12th June, which incorporates the RPAC 10 mile club championship, the RPAC Grand Prix, the Surrey Road League and the Surrey Ten Mile Road Race Championships, and it's also a great race to boot. There is also a 10K race https://www.dmvac.org/events/dorking-tens/
Southern Athletics League Sunday 12th June
The second SAL match will take place on Sunday 12th June at Lewes Athletics Track.
SAL is a track and field league where the club teams up with Holland Sports AC and Dorking & Mole Valley AC to compete in Division 3 against other clubs from the South East of England.
The meeting is open to U17s, U20s and Seniors (Vets included) and the timetable of events is attached.
We had some excellent performances and fast times at Match 1 and it would be great if more athletes could join us in Lewes.
The Lewes track is located at the end of Mountfield Road behind the Wave Leisure Centre. The post code of the Leisure Centre is BN7 2XG. Further details including parking information will be circulated before the event to anyone competing.
Match 3 will take place on Saturday 16th July at K2 Crawley and Match 4 on Saturday 13th August at Hastings.
Please respond to us (the SAL Team Managers, Jo Davey and Ginevra Stoneley) if you would like to compete or if you have any questions .
Sunday 19th June 10:00AM MABAC @ Holmwood Common
This is our chance to regain second place spot in the league, but we can only do this if we get a good turnout.
At Farnham we lost out to Blackwater Valley because they had twice as many runners as we did. We particularly need more of the ladies to run.
As far as I can tell there are no conflicting local races so why not come and turnout for us?
Sunday 24th July MABAC Surrey Slog Half Marathon
The Surrey Slog Half Marathon is organised by MABAC. It is a major fundraiser for them (in fact it's their only fundraiser this year) and this enables them to stage the regular fixtures throughout the year. As a member club we are required to provide a small number of volunteers to help marshal the race. It takes place around Holmbury Hill near Holmbury St. Mary. If you are able to help out please let me know by emailing .
