The club AGM will take place on Monday, 29th April - please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7pm start at the YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road. You should have received an email on 15th April containing the Treasurer's Report, Membership Secretary Report and the Minutes of the 2023 AGM; if you haven't, please email

Parkrun Tourism to Banstead Woods this Saturday

We’re hoping for another big turn-out at nearby Banstead Woods on Saturday, 27th April - if you've never run Banstead before, it's a lovely, flat and even downhill course, definitely PB material. Note that the car park at Banstead fills up, so try to arrive early, by 8:30, and carshare.

We’re going to the Waterhouse Café for breakfast straight afterwards, but we need to know numbers and breakfast choices so please let us know as soon as possible. You can see the breakfast menu here. Please indicate whether you can attend on the poll here and also email us on  to indicate your breakfast choice from the menu. If you add yourself to the poll but don’t email us, we will assume that you just wish to attend for a drink – no breakfast.

You'll find full details of our parkrun tourism, including the rules and current standings of our competition, on our website here.

YMCA Fun Run Sunday 5th May

The YMCA Fun Run and Sports festival is back on 5th May in Priory Park. This is a popular event, raising money for a great local charity, with 1-mile fun runs for both adults and children and a 5-mile adult run. There are separate races for U6, U8, U10, U12 and U16 age groups. Entries can be made by following this link.

Summer Evening 10K, 3rd July

Entries are now live for the annual Summer Evening 10K! Our race license allows a maximum of 500 runners and, following last year's forced cancellation due to roadworks, it would be fantastic to have as many runners as we can. Please enter and, if you can, please share our Facebook post and Instagram post, tell your friends, hire a skywriter, send out smoke signals, do whatever you can help promote the race!

We're offering a discount for registering early: Entry to the race will be £16 for UKA members, £18 for unaffiliated runners until 19 May, automatically applied when you register online by using this link to Sport Systems. After that, fees will be £18/£20 until 10 am on 3 July; entries on the evening itself will be £20/£22, subject to availability.

If you have any questions, please contact acting race director Moray Carey at .

Send us your results, please!

If you participate in an event, email  to let us know your results. Please submit by Sunday evening at the latest to allow us to meet the deadline for the Surrey Mirror sports pages.

Seniors News

Reigate runs London

Huge congratulations to all of our athletes who ran London on Sunday: Lee Savage and Steve Cheesman (both pulling out PBs), Richard Hoare, Katie Newton (running her first race in the RPAC vast), Ian Burks, Mathieu Anglard, Ruth Willis, Mike Pocock, Nicolette Cunningham, Lisa Ashley, Sarah Wynn, Nick Pettitt, Lizzie Mason, Jonathan Fulton-Bell, and Kate Knight. Some of you battled injuries over the months of hard training, some of you found a few bumps along the race course on the day, but all your work paid off - well done!

RPAC also provided a number of volunteers who got up at the crack of dawn to help direct, man drinks stations, and cheer on runners; thank you!

Monday session location change 29th April

Please note that the 6pm Monday session will start from the YMCA on Slipshatch Road on 29th April - conveniently where the RPAC AGM will also be held that evening.

Update to Thursday Sessions

From Thursday, 25th April, Jas will provide a 45 minute technique session in Priory Park each Thursday at 6:15pm. It will focus on improving technical and movement skills to run more efficiently and faster. There will obviously be some running involved but those who want to will be able to also complete a full 7pm session. It will be limited to MAX 10 senior members and will be managed via the Thursday WhatsApp group - see the bottom of the email version of the newsletter for the link to the Thursday WhatsApp group.
