EA have published dates & locations for all their upcoming courses in London and the South, the full list is available here. We always need more officials and coaches to support our junior and senior athletes, so please think about what you can do to assist. If you are interested in any of these courses please discuss with one of the club coaches, Ginevra Stoneley or Malcolm Woodman.
If anyone missed our recent first aid course, Reigate & Banstead District Sports Council are organising the same course on the evening of Tuesday 2nd July. Start time is 7 pm, course will last for 3 hours. The club will pay the course fee if you are actively involved in any of our coaching sessions or events. Please contact Ginevra urgently if you are interested, as places will be allocated on first-come, first-served basis. If you don't have her e-mail address, use the "Contact Us" option on the website (select "Secretary" as the recipient).
Yesterday saw the launch of #gocoach, a fantastic new campaign from England Athletics hoping to attract 10,000 new athletics coaches and run leaders by 2020.
Coaches are essential to the survival of our wonderful sport and we’re asking if you could share news about this important campaign across your own social media channels?
There are two ways they can get involved and it couldn’t be easier…
- Encourage people to find out more about the campaign
Share the link to the #gocoach website http://gocoach.englandathletics.org and encourage people to find out more about becoming a coach or run leader
- Thank their own coach(es)
Share a photo of your coach and tag the image with #gocoach #thankyou
‘A massive #thankyou to my own coach <INSERT NAME> as @EnglandAthletic launch the #gocoach campaign to find 10,000 new coaches by 2020’
