The Academy section is the entry point to the Club for children in School years four to seven. There are two groups, each of 25-30 children. The aim is to provide a broad instruction to the basic skills that are fundamental to all athletic activity. In doing this we follow the England Athletics "Athletics 365 programme".

The groups meet on Saturdays at 9:00am in Reigate Priory Park. Also once a month, typically on the fourth Tuesday, we train at the K2 track in Crawley in the evening at 7:00pm. The sessions last for one hour.

The Club encourages members to represent the Club in competitions and sends team to participate in "Sports Hall" and "Quad Kids" events run by the South Surrey Athletics Network, as well as taking children to local cross country events and track competitions.

Children progress from the Academy to the Junior section in years 6-7 . There is no automatic right to promotion.  Spaces in the Junior section are heavily oversubscribed. In allocating these places priority will be given to children who have shown a willingness to represent the Club.

If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren) into the academy, please contact the membership secretary.
